inside the LINES had recently grown their partnership with the City of Columbia. We have been working on many reconfigurations of existing product at the City, as well as several new projects. The City recognized the value of itL's product offerings, especially our services.
The itL design team has worked diligently on space planning and drawings for reconfigurations, and on designing new spaces and upgraded workspaces. The itLInstallation Team has used their knowledge and experience to remodel existing product to make old spaces productive and efficient again.
Earlier this month, we completed a 16' x 12' conference room using Teknion's Optos & Altos architectural wall products. Assistant City Manager, Tony St. Romaine, was looking for a product that was more aesthetic and flexible than standard drywall. This product would need to be constructed without damage to the existing carpet, reach the ceiling and have the ability to be relocated.
The Optos Glass wall used on two sides give the conference room a store front look, allowing plenty of natural light into the room. The Altos Wall composes the other two sides and is a solid laminate wall with a "Clearstory" of glass above to allow in natural light. These walls feature options of built-in marker boards and tack boards. We partnered with a local business to add a 4' strip of lamination to the glass after construction, giving occupants of the conference room more privacy.
